#SHUTTLE BUS DRIVER JOBS LICENSE#

Must possess a valid State Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with air brakes and passenger endorsement and have less than 6 points on record.Commercial driving training for purpose of safe handling of a shuttle bus with a capacity of up to 40 passengers.Ability to follow verbal directions and communicate in a clear and concise manner.Ability to read and write sufficient to fill out maintenance check lists.Meets performance requirements on all established patient, visitor and employee shuttle lines and supporting special event requirements.Meets on time performance targets of established schedules.May be required to work weekends or work longer than above hours in emergency situations. Drives a shuttle bus up to 10 hours per day and/or up to 60 hours in any 7 consecutive day period.Assists passengers/luggage on/off shuttle.Safely secures patient and wheelchair at the wheelchair station. Maintains currency and effectiveness in operating wheelchair lift and associated equipment.Never operates a shuttle with a known safety or operational deficiency. Records deficiencies and reports prior to dispatching the vehicle.Completes daily passenger vehicle safety inspections prior to placing the shuttle into operation and at the end of the shift.Reports any suspicious behavior to CCPD.Maintains situational awareness both inside/outside the shuttle at all times.Maintains vehicle presentation and cleanliness at all times in accordance with policy and procedures.Provides safe, efficient, and quality shuttle transportation service as measured by driving record, compliance with established DOT regulations and Cleveland Clinic safety policies.Provides wheelchair assistance to destination and provides positive hand off with destination caregiver.Knowledgeable and capable of communicating to patients/visitors/employees regarding facilities, restaurant, banking, hotel or other services on or off the campus.Maintains high performance as measured by customer satisfaction surveys, mystery shopper audits, and supervisor observations.
